BASH was formed as an organization that serves as a welcoming committee for all new residents south of Pittsburgh, as well as a social, civic and charitable organization. For over 30 years BASH has hosted several successful community events which are now annual projects.

BASH Named

Nellie Leadership Award Winner

​The Three Rivers Youth Council named BASH a Nellie Leadership Awardee for Volunteerism. The Nellie Leadership Award recognizes an organization's exemplary work that is consistent with the mission and values of Three Rivers Youth. The award is named in honor of the orphaned african-american girl who became the impetus the for the founding of the Home For Colored Children in 1880 and later became the Three Rivers Youth Council
